.Sustainable Brand Manifesto.
This manifesto defines Z Kopytem Sp. z o.o.'s operations across four areas of responsibility: social, economic, environmental, and internal organizational, based on the ISO 26000 standard.
The company guarantees that the information disseminated below regarding its operations is truthful.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Our company operates in strict compliance with the law and makes every effort to ensure that all employees and partners adhere to legal standards in all contexts and ventures.
Behavioral Integrity
Z Kopytem Sp. z o.o. is committed to delivering high-quality services and operating in a fair and transparent manner. We maintain proper relationships with public, governmental, and administrative institutions, citizens, and external entities.
Enhancing Company Investments
We strive to ensure that our economic and financial results contribute to sustainable development, considering the specifics of our activities and our company's social and environmental mission.
Tax Responsibility
Our company diligently pays taxes within the Republic of Poland and is committed to avoiding ambiguous situations regarding tax obligations.
Contractual Integrity
Contracts and tasks must be performed according to agreed terms. We pledge not to exploit the ignorance or incapacity of our partners or use contract oversights solely for renegotiation to benefit from the weaker position of the other party.
Fair Exercise of Authority
We commit to the fair and proper exercise of authority, avoiding any forms of abuse. We ensure transparency in our actions and avoid exploiting dominant positions. These values apply both to internal organizational relationships and interactions with partners.
Rejection of All Forms of Discrimination (Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion)
In decisions impacting relationships with various parties (such as client selection, shareholder relations, personnel management, supplier choice, and interactions with the surrounding community and representative institutions), the company avoids any form of discrimination based on age, gender, sexual orientation, health status, race, nationality, political beliefs, or religious convictions. This criterion also applies to recruitment decisions.
Employment Integrity
We ensure that all employees acting on our behalf are legally employed, provided with safe working conditions, and offered social and health benefits. We invest in employee training.
Strengthening Human Resources
We recognize that human resources are fundamental to our development. We guarantee a safe working environment that supports employees in their duties and enhances their professional capabilities. Our human resources management is based on respect for each employee's individuality and skills, ensuring their physical and moral integrity.
Personnel must always act respectfully towards others, treating each person fairly and with dignity while representing the company. We reject all forms of compulsory, forced, or child labor and do not tolerate violations of human rights or property rights.
Responsible Consumption and Production
The company responsibly plans production, avoiding large stockpiles to respect raw materials. The production process is optimized to minimize waste. Generated waste is collected and directed towards recycling. We aim for a closed-loop system in raw material use.
Our brand creates timeless collections, eschewing seasonality and regular sales. We do not practice product disposal but always attempt repairs, engage in outlet sales, and promote second-hand circulation.
The primary value is the protection of consumer health and safety; therefore, we select wool free from chlorine and potentially toxic dyes.
Transparency of Sources
We maintain close relationships with suppliers, fostering mutual trust and security through contractual agreements. Company executives conduct personal visits and audits of subcontractor activities. Supplier selection is based on the ethicality of their practices. We also promote social responsibility across the supply chain and combat corruption.
Transparency and Completeness of Information (Honest Marketing)
We are committed to providing full, clear, and understandable information, enabling customers to make independent and informed decisions when engaging with the KOPYTO brand. We reject greenwashing practices.
Customer Service
We strive to provide necessary support for customers during product selection and throughout the purchasing process. We address any potential issues promptly based on a clearly defined purchasing policy and current legal regulations. Any complaints are resolved with consideration for both customer welfare and environmental impact, prioritizing minor repairs over full product replacement.
Data Protection
We collect and process personal data of customers, collaborators, employees, and other individuals and entities. This data may include sensitive information. We commit to processing such data within specified limits and in compliance with privacy laws. Personnel handling sensitive and non-sensitive data must always adhere to these regulations and operational instructions.
Reducing Carbon Footprint
Whenever possible, we use local raw materials for KOPYTO products to minimize transportation needs. For non-local raw materials, we seek geographically close solutions within the continent. All production occurs within Poland. Raw materials and finished products are transported in large quantities to reduce transportation frequency and maximize efficiency.
Environmental Stewardship
We strive to use high-quality resources, primarily sourced naturally and certified. Our efforts have led to obtaining the highest quality wool certification, RWS (Responsible Wool Standard), which enforces strict ethical standards throughout production—from sheep farming to garment sewing and storage.
We eliminate single-use plastics in production and order fulfillment.
Charitable Activities and Social Programs
We run the "Black Friday to Help" campaign to oppose consumerism associated with Black Friday, using the seasonal shopping surge as an opportunity to raise funds for specific charitable organizations (such as WWF and Szlachetna Paczka).
We also support and promote ecological initiatives (such as forest clean-ups and bee conservation) through company involvement and activation of clients and collaborators.
Educational Activities
Through media communication, we engage in educational activities regarding the negative impacts of synthetic materials (acrylic, polyester) in hat production and emphasize wool as a primary material used in KOPYTO's accessories and clothing. We advocate its practical benefits in building a year-round functional wardrobe and promote its use as a durable, universal resource that generates minimal waste. We aim to raise awareness about the fashion industry's responsibility and the impact of clothing waste on the environment.
Our educational activities also include communicating against consumerism and modifying public awareness. Using available channels, we disseminate concepts such as CPU/CPW (cost per use/cost per wear), advocating for the selection of more expensive, ethically produced clothing and accessories as longer-lasting and more economically advantageous solutions. We encourage thoughtful purchasing decisions.
